UVAROVA FALLS IN NCAA SECOND ROUND
TULSA, Okla. – The outstanding collegiate career of Virginia Commonwealth University senior Tatsiana Uvarova drew to a close Thursday when she was eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Singles Tournament at the University of Tulsa’s Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Uvarova, ranked 44th, was defeated by second-ranked Ani Mijacika of Clemson, 6-0, 6-3.

A native of Minsk, Belarus, Uvarova put together one of the finest three-year runs in the illustrious history of the VCU program.

An All-American in 2006, Uvarova went 26-9 in singles play this season and compiled a 63-14 mark over her career.
