On Her Way Back: Achesinski spent last season recovering from a knee injury that kept her off the field during her senior season at Salem

How’s the Weather Up There?:  At 5’9”, Achesinski is one of the tallest players on the Rams’ roster.

Prior to VCU:

M-V-P! M-V-P!: She was named the Team MVP during her first three seasons with the Sundevils.

Follow the Leader: Achesinski served as the team captain during her sophomore, junior and senior campaigns at Salem.

Ouch!: She suffered a knee injury just before the start of her senior year which kept her out all season

Praiseworthy:  Amber earned a spot on the All-Beach District team during both her sophomore and junior seasons. An Honorable Mention honoree in 2005 and Second-Team in 2006.

I just kept running: Midfielders do enough running on the pitch, but apparently it wasn’t enough for Amber who also ran one year of cross country at Salem.

Feel the Rush: During her high school career, Achesinski also played on the Virginia Rush Nike club team 

Getting to Know Amber

Parental Love: Asked who she looks up to most, Achesinski responded with "my parents because they've supported me in everything I've done my entire life".

Amber’s postgraduate plans include more medical school and a career in orthopedic surgery.

Animation for Amber: Some of Achesinski's favorite movies include The Incredibles, Shrek, Finding Nemo and Ice Age.
