RICHMOND, Va. – Even before the Virginia Commonwealth University women’s basketball team takes the week to focus on its final exams, the Rams have a major test to pass on the hardwood. VCU is set to host the Hoyas of Georgetown University on Sunday afternoon at the Alltel Pavilion at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.

The Rams are looking to get back on the winning track after coming off a tough 56-48 loss at the Robins Center to cross-town rival, the University of Richmond, on Wednesday night.

Senior Quanitra Hollingsworth (Chesapeake, Va.) continues to lead the Black and Gold as the veteran picked up her third straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to the Spiders. On the season, she is averaging a team-leading 15.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

The Hoyas have burst out of the gates to a 7-1 record and will be playing their third game in five days on Sunday. Georgetown recently downed CAA foe, James Madison, 62-59 on Friday evening behind 19 points from Latia Magee.

Georgetown holds an all-time 4-0 record against the Rams with the most recent victory coming last season in Washington, D.C. where the Hoyas topped the Black and Gold 57-43.

Game time between the two squads is set for 2 p.m.
