WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Former Virginia Commonwealth University standout Ted Brown placed 42nd at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament Monday at Bear Lakes Country Club. By virtue of his top 50 finish, Brown earned an unconditional Nationwide Tour card for next season.

Although he shot a 4-over 76 in Monday’s final round, Brown finished at 5-under (71-67-71-70-72-76) for the six-round, 108-hole tournament.

The top 25 finishers earned a full PGA Tour card.

Brown starred at VCU from 1999-2003 and captured the Colonial Athletic Association individual championship in 2002. He was named All-CAA in 2001 and 2002 and led the Rams to three league crowns. In 2003, he qualified as an individual for the NCAA Tournament.
