HARRISONBURG, Va. – Melissa Stefaniak scored three goals to pace sixth-ranked James Madison past Virginia Commonwealth University, 4-0, Friday. VCU falls to 4-11 overall and 0-5 in the Colonial Athletic Association with the loss, while the Dukes, the defending CAA champions, improve to 13-1 on the year, including 5-0 in the league. Junior Lindsay Shacklette (Fredericksburg, Va.) attempted two shots on goal for VCU and senior Laura Baker (Kent, England) made 10 saves for the Rams. VCU returns to the field on Friday, Oct. 24 when it heads to Williamsburg, Va. to take on William & Mary at 7 p.m. |
