VCU FIELD HOCKEY HONORED FOR ACADEMIC EXELLENCE

RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Commonwealth University field hockey squad received the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Academic Team award this week, the organization announced.

The Rams, coached by Kelly McQuade (pictured), were one of 65 Division I institutions honored by the NFHCA for carrying a team grade-point-average of 3.0 or better. 

Including VCU, a total of eight Colonial Athletic Association teams picked up NFHCA academic hardware.
