Athletics-related financial aid cannot be awarded for any period longer than one academic year.
On an annual basis, VCU Athletics must notify student-athletes no later than July 1 if their athletics grant-in-aid will be renewed or canceled for the coming academic year.
FAFSA
Every year, each student athlete is requested also to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Completing the FAFSA application assists the department of athletics in identifying who is eligible for Federal Pell Grants and/or Special Assistance Funds through the NCAA and the CAA.
