The Virginia Commonwealth University Athletics Compliance Office relies on our coaching staff to help us enforce the rules and regulations associated with student-athlete recruiting and eligibility.
To help maintain our high standards and ethical conduct, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the regulations developed by the NCAA and the Colonial Athletic Association and implement these practices when interacting with current and prospective student-athletes at VCU. Any inappropriate action on your part can jeopardize the eligibility of student-athletes and prospects, as well as the compliance status of VCU with the NCAA and CAA.
Recruiting calendars
The NCAA requires coaches and university representatives to adhere to the specified guidelines for contacting prospective student-athletes and scheduling recruiting opportunities. National Letter of Intent
The National Letter of Intent is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an institution. All colleges and universities that participate in the NLI program agree to not recruit a prospective student-athlete once he or she signs an NLI with another college or university.
