2008/Redshirt Freshman: Led squad with 1.40 ERA in 13 relief appearances... Picked up two saves and a 0-1 record... In 25.2 innings of work, tallied 33 strikeouts against just 13 walks... Tossed career-high four innings, allowing no earned runs and notching four strikeouts against Bucknell (3/1)... Posted a perfect 1.2 innings of work in home win over East Carolina (3/5)... Struck out five batters in just three innings of work in home win over Longwood (3/18)... Did not allowed an earned run from March 16th-March 30th, a span of six outings and 9.2 innings of work... Picked up save against VMI after tossing three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit (4/8).

2007/Freshman: Pitched in five games, all in relief, before suffering an arm injury that kept him out the rest of the season.

Prior to VCU: Played four years of varsity baseball and two years of varsity football for the Generals... Led baseball team to the Central District Tournament his junior season... Three-time first-team All-District selection... First team All-Tri-cities all four years... Second team All-Region his junior year... Second team All-District his senior year...
